Oil and Acrylic Paintings
These paintings are my exploration of the way light and colour is reflected across landscapes. My journey began with with tight representations but joyous use of colour. In the most recent paintings I have moved into more abstract looser markings and shapes. The colours are more specificically used to highlight focal areas in the foregound. Little strokes of colour representing flowers or leaves or water reflections. It adds the magical element which is very important to me.
Prints from oil paintings and digital works
Prints are Luxury! Since a lot of my work has been done on small canvases, enlarged prints is the best way to make them really shine. Again, you will notice a big shift from my work as I have grown into my knowledge and understanding of painting and expressing myself. I have move from playful images into abstract landscapes, pushing the abstract as much as I dare. The more I push, the more magical it feels to me. It changes from seeing what you know to seeing possibilities.
